I do not sell soap in bars. I have found that
everyone has a different opinion on the size and shape for bars of soap.
So our soap is sold in 1, 2 and 4 pound blocks which you can cut into the sizes you
would like. All the soaps are soft enough for you to cut with a sharp
kitchen knife (or even a dull one!). Keep the soap it in a Tupperware type container
or plastic until you
are ready to use. Then cut off the size bar you want to use. You can
cut the bar right away and then let dry if you like. When I
was growing up, my mother used to unwrap all the Ivory bars and store them in
the kitchen cabinet. Drying out the soap means it lasts longer. Be
sure to cut the bars first if you plan to let the soap dry. I have kept it
cut in the closet for several years before using--works great any time.
So with the exception of the mint soap and the bug away soap (these soaps will
loose their aromas that make them useful if left out in the air for a long
time), you can cut and store any where.
Basic Soap
The fats in my basic soap consist of olive
oil, coconut oil and tallow/ostrich fat/vegetable oils. Soaps
can have extra glycerin and castor oil for dry skin and hair. My basic soap
does not contain added dyes or scents. It is a mild body/shampoo soap.
OTHER VARIETIES
Rosemary Shampoo and Body Soap
This is a mild bar which incorporates rosemary tea. It is a great soap for
traveling eliminating the need for several soaps in your cosmetic bag. My
husband always asks me to pack this soap when we travel to avoid the hotel
soaps.
Mint Soap With
essential peppermint oil and mint leaves incorporated into the soap, this soap
has the ability to awaken and refresh you in the morning shower. A great way to
start the day or cool off on a hot one.
Oatmeal Soap Oatmeal soothes irritated skin
as it softens and gently exfoliates. Traditionally
oatmeal soap has been used for children who had chickenpox or measles.
Almond Scrub Soap This is a bar my
step daughter swears by. It is a great scrub bar for callouses and other
tough skin. You can get someone to scrub your back with it if they go
gentle on the pressure.
Mechanic’s Body Shop Soap
I gave this to my husband to use to clean his hands after working in the garage. Wow, did it work! Got rid of
the greasy "stuff" after he worked on super dirty engines.
Outdoor Bug Away Soap
Bath with this soap before being outside to help repel insects. With the
combination of citronella, eucalyptus, rosemary and geranium scents, the bugs
should avoid you.
